I am a social psychologist interested in the interpersonal functions of emotions, working at the intersection of emotion, social cognition, and interpersonal processes.
My research examines how emotions function as social information and how people use, perceive, and respond to emotional expressions. My recent work focuses on the use and perception of emotional crying, including the so-called crocodile tears.
I am currently affiliated with VIZJA University, Warsaw, Poland.
